In this day and age of reality TV shows, some applicants will take tremendous risks in order to get their own show. Jon and Kate had 8 and had the contract for the TV show signed before the children were born. Suleman (Octomom) did exactly the same thing. Balloon Boy's parents wanted to be on a show so badly that they risked everything and lost (both have since admitted to committing felonies).
